Overview

This course is conducted completely in Spanish by teacher and students. All students are encouraged throughout their Spanish studies to practice the target language consistently with their teachers and peers through conversations, lectures and oral presentations. Furthermore, students will expand their interpersonal communication skills in Spanish through daily classroom interactions in the language with authentic resources like, newspapers, magazines articles, letters, instructions, and internet articles as well as through the reading of short stories and literary texts.  As students grapple with the topics and themes provided by the different sources, they improve their oral and written expression in a variety of styles from describing and summarizing to inquiring, persuading and arguing in the most appropriate register according to the audience.
