This is Mrs. Pierce, I wanted to take a moment and say goodbye as tomorrow, Friday, April 27 is my last day to serve as your proud principal. I am excited that I am able to wrap up my tenure here leading our Second Annual Special Olympics!
As previously shared with you in a letter sent back in March with parents and students, I have accepted a position as the Director of Secondary Instruction in The Fontana Unified School District. As I mentioned in the letter, this decision was a very difficult and emotional one. While I look forward to this new opportunity, I am sad to say goodbye. I have loved serving as your school leader and working with high school students. Our students are an amazing group of kids. Over the last four years, we have grown significantly, made significant academic gains in areas such as graduation rates and built award-winning extracurricular, athletic and visual and performing arts programs. We have also weathered some storms together. Regardless of the situations, I have looked after you as if you were all my own. I love you guys and will miss you all tremendously.
I want to send a special congratulations to the Class of 2018! I am very proud of all 578 of you! I am very sad that I will miss your graduation but I have no doubt it will be an amazing and memorable one. I wish you all well on your post-secondary endeavors! I will be thinking about all of you on June 1.
The District is currently interviewing candidates to serve as your next Beaumont High School leader. I am confident you will be pleased with the selection. Until then, Mr. Matthew Centofranchi will serve as your interim principal.
Please know Beaumont will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart.
