Concurrent Enrollment

Concurrent Enrollment at MSJC
 
Students may request advanced scholastic or CTE at a community college. In order to be concurrently enrolled in high school and community college, a permission form must be signed by the student, parent, counselor, and administrative designee prior to registering for classes. Enrollment is granted at the discretion of the community college. Each college course is equivalent to approximately 10 high school credits. Expenses required for taking community college class is the responsibility of the student.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Concurrent Enrollment outside MSJC
 

Beaumont High School recognizes the opportunity for some students to complete High School or community college courses outside of Beaumont Unified School District. *This Beaumont High School Contract for Concurrent Enrollment must be completed and approved by the counselor and the Beaumont High School Principal or designee. Determination of whether coursework will be added to the Beaumont High School transcript will be made prior to student enrollment in concurrent classes in line with **Board Policy (BP 6172.1/ AR 6172.1).

 

*Allow 10 (ten) working days for the approval or denial of this Concurrent Enrollment Contract.

**For the purpose of BHS and BUSD policies, concurrent courses are synonymous with correspondence courses.  Concurrent/Correspondence courses will be referred to as “Concurrent” courses from herein.
