Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID)
Beaumont High School is Proud to be an AVID School!
What is AVID?
AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is centered on equity and takes a student-centered approach to learning. Beaumont USD partners with AVID to receive ongoing professional development and support to integrate strategies that enhance and accelerate student learning while focusing on college and career readiness.
Beaumont High School implements AVID strategies school-wide along with offering AVID elective courses. This year, our teachers will continue to focus on WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading) Strategies, while emphasizing writing and reading.
